List Building (NOT for beginners)

I get asked about this all the time, but mostly by beginners. My apologies, but this message isn't really intended for beginners.

And that's not because you can't grasp the ideas here (because you can), or because I don't think you're capable (because you are) or because it's too expensive (it might be).

No, it's because the way this list building program is structured, if you're not successful, you don't pay, and the people putting this together want to reduce the chance of returns and cancellations.

They're shooting for 100% success.

So inviting only intermediate and advanced marketers to this is how they're trying to ensure the highest success rate possible.

So if you're a rank beginner — even if you REALLY NEED to learn HOW TO BUILD A LIST– then there's really no reason to read further.

I'm sorry (I'm just the messenger).

But if you've actually got a business, and you know what you're doing (ie it's not an accident), and your business is working for you, then read on.

Quick (4-Minute) Online Money-Making Projects

Got a short attention span (like me)? Or do you still have a regular "job" while trying to build your online business?

There's lotsa ways to make money online. Sometimes what you want to do is take the time to plan out something big, and make the big money all at once.

On the other hand, sometimes having a quick four or five minute task that can earn you $50 a week from now on.

I just came across a kit called "4-minute money" that is filled with these simple, quick money making techniques. They really do take just 4 minutes. Do them today, tomorrow, and the next day…it adds up.

And it turns out that Harris Fellman (brilliant guy) is behind all of this.

Your “Make Money Blogging” Questions

Marketing Wisdom from Frank Kern

I'm at Frank Kern's Mass Control event (Sunday, 4/20/08) , and just heard Frank talk…but first, I have a confession.

I've learned from a lot of very smart people. Perry Marshall, Rich Schefren, Alex Mandossian, Jim Edwards, Jeff Walker, Armand Morin, Kevin Nations, Joel Comm, David Garfinkel, John Carlton, Eben Pagan…..

I could go on for a long time.

But I don't know Frank Kern.

I've heard people talk about him for years. But….and here's my confession…I've never met him, never read a word of his material, and have only seen his picture a few times. Sounds strange, but it's true.

I was adding an article to this blog a couple days ago, and I saw something I hadn't seen before. It's a couple of navigation buttons on some Google Adsense ads.

One of the things I talk about is the general ineffectiveness of unmeasured, broad-market advertising as compared to the measured performance you can get from Direct Response.

Okay, not all ads have to be direct response.

Oh wait a minute…YES THEY DO!

Because when you give someone a very motivating reason to take a specific and identifiable action — RIGHT NOW — you know exactly how effective your advertising is.

And you know that if you spend a dollar, and you're making two (or ten), that you can continue to spend more dollars. But if you make only 50 cents, you stop.

Simple logic, right?

That old adage about "If you build a better mousetrap, the world will beat a path to your door" is false. Patently a LIE. It just doesn't happen.  

It doesn't happen unless someone knows you've built that mousetrap, and has received a carefully crafted message that hits all the right triggers that get people to take an interest, then take some time, and then take out their credit cards.
