How to make horizontal opt-in boxes for Aweber in WordPress

It’s new year’s day and since you’re already up and reading your email, it’s probably a GREAT day to do something that’s going to help you build your list and make you more cash for all of 2013.

So here’s an idea for you…

Dan Nickerson (the smartest WordPress Marketer I know) and I spent a couple hours the other night playing around with a new WordPress list building plugin that is truly impressive.

If you’re in a rush, check out this new plugin right here:

WordPress Plugin to make Advanced Optin Boxes for Aweber

You’ve seen this already…

All of the professional bloggers add these neat boxes to their sidebars (and usually also to the bottom of the posts), where they advertise their newsletter and where you can sign up. They work GREAT. The problem is: those opt-in boxes are not easy to create.

Trust me, we’ve spent hours in the past building horizontal optins that will fit in a 728×90 widget area or smaller. It requires a lot of custom coding and tweaking to Aweber forms.

Well, this new plugin changes all that.

It comes pre-loaded with more than 30 awesome templates. Which can be customized in 100’s of ways. And it works with almost ANY autresponder service, not just Aweber (includes Aweber, iContact, GetResponse, InfusionSoft, MailChimp, ConstantContact, and more.)

Seriously, you have to see this, to believe it:

Hybrid Connect — WordPress Plugin to make Advanced Optin Boxes

But here’s the thing… you’re thinking: “Ok, an opt-in box builder. Cool, but NOT VERY EXCITING.”

Well, it gets better, because

What WordPress Isn’t Good At

What doesn’t WordPress do well on its own? Well…

* It doesn’t tell you what to write,

* It doesn’t update its own content,

* It doesn’t serve up the right ads to your visitors,

* It doesn’t syndicate your content very well (or completely),

* It doesn’t accurately report your bounce rate to Google, and

* It doesn’t let you see what’s wrong with your site (according to Google).

It so good at so many things, but really sucks at those. But this

Protect Your Download Page — Why?

Do you need to protect your download page? Lots of people don’t think they need to. But by the time you finish reading this article, you’ll change your mind. That’s because what you’re about to discover is a trick that crooks use to steal your infoproducts, whether you know they’re doing it or not.

It’s like they walked into your house, opened up your laptop, and just took your ebook (or videos, audios, plugins, software). You need to protect your download page.

So why the alarm bells? I’ll explain. But first, let me tell you how we discovered this.

Dan regularly sends me emails when he hears about some crook posting the contents of a product on some warez or pirate site. He gets frustrated, because clearly those people are BAD people, taking the work of one person and putting it out to the public for everyone else to steal.

And if you don’t protect your download page, they’re gonna get yours.

Dan gets equally upset whether the product is one of his products, our products, or the products of our friends…or ANYONE’s product. It’s just not right.

Now, we’ve been raving recently about a product called the Rank Tracker Plugin. Each time someone searches for a keyword that lands them on our website, it sends us an email. Needless to say, we get LOTS of Rank Tracker emails (Thankfully, you can set the Rank Tracker Plugin to email you only once a day or once a week, if you like.)

We got one of our Rank Tracker emails today, and what Dan saw there instantly told him that someone was trying to steal from us. Dan’s instant reaction was to check to see if we were actually vulnerable to the attack — and it turns out we were not.

But, you might be, and you need to know about this. So what did we see in that Rank Tracker email?

IMPORTANT: In the rest of this post, “Protect Your Download Page” I show you EXACTLY how to find unprotected download pages so you know how thieves find and steal good content. The goal is so that you can protect yourself from these same tactics. However, if the “bad guys” saw this information, they would use it to steal more stuff. As a result, the rest of this post is PROTECTED in the member’s area of my membership site, ACME Traffic. If you are a member of ACME Traffic, you can read the rest of the post there. If you’re not a member, you can join using the link at the top of the page.

Rank Tracker Plugin Review

There is a problem with most statistics programs, and the Rank Tracker Plugin for WordPress solves those problems.

Well, kinda.

You see, the Rank Tracker Plugin is NOT designed to be a full statistics program — far from it.

But what the Rank Tracker Plugin does is something very important: It tells you not only THAT you got traffic for a particular keyword, it tells you where you ranked for that keyword.

In other words, it’s one thing to say to yourself “Hey, where do I rank for a keyword” and then go hunting in Google for that listing. It’s something altogether different for you to be emailed the info either instantly, daily, or weekly each and every time someone searches on Google and lands on your site.

In the Rank Tracker Review Video above, you’ll see the emails I receive.. For example, the Rank Tracker Plugin emailed me and told me that “There has been a change in your Google rankings!” and then it says:

WordPress RSS Plugin — Selected RSS

There are lots of ways to get traffic to your website, but I’m guessing that there is one white-hat method you don’t know much about.

You’ve probably SEO’d your site (good first step), written lots of articles (time consuming), posted comments to blogs and forums (hard to keep track of), made a few videos (Did you make Spielberg nervous?)…and a few other things, too.

And that’s all good & smart.

But did you create, aggregate, and distribute your RSS feeds?

You might be asking “WHAT’S THAT?”

Well, let me explain.

RSS is a method to “publish” your content so that other sites can slurp it up. Each time they slurp it up, they get only part of each post, and give you a link back to your site for the rest.

Your WordPress blog automatically makes

WordPress RSS Plugin (Great for SEO)

You probably run WordPress because you want your site to rank well on Google. (WordPress is GREAT for that.)

Well, what would it be like to watch your Google ranking creep up and up every day for a while…

…and then to watch your rankings, your traffic, and your site’s profits steadily decline to near zero?

Here’s how to avoid that.

http://budurl.com/hl7r

It’s a new WordPress Plugin I’ve been working on with my friend Dan Nickerson. It helps you do three very important things.

1) It puts fresh, relevant and related content on every page of your WordPress blog — totally automatically, each and every day.

2) It avoids any duplicate content issues

3) And it actually causes Google to come index your site more often, and rank your site higher.

Oh, and it is absolutely NOT a robot of any kind that puts junk content on your site.

I won’t say more, except that we are
