I think a lot of people were pleasantly surprised by the content and easy to implement strategies in the Squeeze Page Webinar on Tuesday night.

I knew when I was putting the course together that the part about how to actually make a squeeze page would be pretty short and easy, well under an hour.

And it was.

But based on the survey results you gave me, you wanted much more. The result was a

2 1/2 hour marathon.

In fact, I got a letter from one of the gentlemen on the call quite upset about the call going as long as it did, and that he had to leave the call early.

I'm sorry for that.

But we did manage to cover a lot of good information. The way I like to teach is to break up big subjects into lots of little ones. So we dealt with each of these smaller subjects separately. I think it makes everything more understandable.

Were you not able to make it to the webinar? Here are some of the immediately actionable points that we covered:

* The Purpose of a squeeze page.

Getting a lead first, before trying to make the sale, can earn you a 5x jump in sales, and a list of lifetime customers.

* The Basics of HTML

We spent about 10 minutes going over the things you'll see on a squeeze page's HTML code. We ignored all the rest. The idea was to give you a working knowledge so you can identify what you would see in source code of a squeeze page (if you were to look). The idea was not to teach you how to make a page.

* The Basics of FTP

There are two words you need to know (and then forget) about FTP. But what you will get is 'FTP demystified'.

* A Step by Step Squeeze Page Copywriting Worksheet

This was the thing that took a long time, but was well worth it. You see, lots of people sit down to create a squeeze page and attempt to tackle the technical parts (html, ftp, and design) at the very same time they are trying to write web copy. This approach is a bit backwards.

What I find most helpful is to deal with the real meat — the copy — BEFORE you try to put the words on the page.  That's exactly what we spent so much time on during the webinar: Crafting the words that compel your prospects to give their names and email addresses, without hesitation.

This included understanding who your customer is, your offer, your lead copy, your bullets, and your calls to actions. And we actually tackled this in an interactive format, where participants started with blank, specially designed copywriting worksheets, and in a short period of time knew exactly how to write copy that made their prospects WANT to give their information.

The copywriting portion alone could have been a 2 1/2 webinar by itself.

But we didn't stop there…

* How to actually make the pages.

In the home stretch, we put our web copy that we'd already written on the page. You will see that it is really as easy as copy and pasting into a word processor or your email program. This part was *quick*!

* How to connect the Squeeze Page to your autoresponder

So we got into how to create a form using 1ShoppingCart, and then placing that form on your squeeze page. The template you will get has everything laid out, and you see how we put the form in the spot that says "Form goes here".

So yes, we covered a lot of information. But I think (and if you register, you can tell me if I'm right ) that it was presented in a way that made it easily understandable…and most importantly…ACTIONABLE.

You need to be able to do this yourself.

That's why I created the hands-on worksheets for HTML and FTP, and why we spent so much time on the copy, and filling out the Copywriting Worksheet.

So here's the good news…
