My good friend Joel Comm interviewed me for his live Internet TV show on Wednesday. I was apparently his guinea pig for some split-screen magic he was doing. Cool stuff!

And Joel started asking me about Big Money Ebooks.

So I explained that a Big Money Ebook is a book that has the marketing built into it, so that it makes its own sales. He asked me to share a few "Big Money" secrets with him and his viewers.

And then he made a joke about how "First, you put up a sales page and sell it….THEN you write the ebook."

He thought he was so funny.

But he was right.

One of the MOST effective ways to know if your ebook will sell is to build a sales page, pitch the book however you imagine the book might turn out, and then buying some Adwords traffic…

…before the book is written.

Let me explain.

For some people, writing the book is the hard part. For others, creating the website and sales pages is the challenge.

For everyone, knowing EXACTLY what will sell AHEAD OF TIME can make all the difference between success and failure.

Between getting the book written and letting it lay half-finished.

Between a business and a hobby.

It’s like knowing the winning numbers for tomorrow’s lottery.

So the secret here is this:

You make a sales page that describes the fantasy book you want to write. Describe it as YOU see it.

And put an order button on the page.

But the order button doesn’t go to a checkout page. No, it goes to a page that says…

"Thank you for telling me you’d like to order my book on Widget Repair. We’re in the very last stages of finishing the book and could really use your help.

I want to make sure I cover every important question about Widget Repair, so if you’ll tell me what your most important question is, I’ll send you a free copy of the book as soon as it’s done.

OK? Go ahead and type in your question — even if you saw it listed on the prior page — and click the submit button. I’ll see you on the next page."

Now, here’s what you learn when you do this.

1) You’ll discover EXACTLY what people want to know about your topic, and what to write about in your book.
2) You’ll know what your sales page should say.
3) You’ll know if your keywords are "buying keywords" for your topic.
4) If you turn on Google’s conversion tracking, you’ll know exactly what one customer will cost you.
5) If you vary the price on the sales page, you’ll know exactly what price people are willing to pay.

…and I could rattle off a few more less obvious lessons you can learn, too.

Basically, you’ll have a no-stress, low investment way to know exactly what people want to buy, and exactly how to get them to buy.

It’s a slam dunk.

If you’ve got my Million Dollar Template , then you’re ready to go with your sales page.

You’ll want to add to that Joel Comm’s Instant Form Pro software (VERY Cool and VERY easy to use… or Freedback (www.FreedbackFreeTrial.com … Less cool, but just as effective) so you can run your survey.

And of course, you’ll want to add the respondents to a mailing list, so you can send them your book when it’s done. (I use http://www.AweberAutoresponder.com for that … or www.1ShoppingCart30DayTrial.com if you don’t have a shopping cart yet.

Okay, that’s it for now. More Big Money lessons to come soon.

P.S. Oh, are you wondering WHY you want to give them the book for free?

Well, have you ever wondered how people get testimonials for their book before it’s released?

This is how.

Ask the same people — before you send them your ebook — for a testimonial. You’ll be surprised at how many will be thrilled to help you in this way.
