So just a couple of days ago, I invited you (and a few thousand other of my closest friends) to a website review webinar that I’m hosting this coming Friday.
As part of the registration process, I asked you a few questions, and the results so far have been pretty darn interesting, at least in a couple of areas.
I think the most fascinating thing is that 2/3 of the people who said that they don’t split test now, and NEVER PLAN TO SPLIT TEST, also say that website conversion is their number one problem.
That’s pretty fascinating, actually.
Split testing is a pretty easy thing to do, once you learn how. Yet people don’t take advantage of pretty much the biggest money-maker (or money-saver, depending on your current conversion rate) that’s available to them and their online business.
But here’s an even more fascinating thing.
CHECK THIS OUT: Of all the people who said that they do not plan to split test, do you know what their conversion rates were?
No? Not even a guess?
Well then you’ve got a lot in common with those people, because they also have NO IDEA what their conversion rate is (unless, of course, it’s zero).
Their answers looked like this: “zero”, “don’t know”, “nothing”, “clueless”.
The people who said they don’t plan to split test EVER also said that they either sell nothing, or have no idea what their conversion rates are.
Frankly, website conversion is a far under-learned skill. The funny thing is that it takes far less skill than you think. It requires understanding a few basic principles of marketing, a pair of good eyes, a brain that works, and a split testing tool that makes “knowing for sure” kind of easy.
No, I’m not trying to sell you a split testing tool. I’m not even pitching a course for you to buy. What I am saying is that it doesn’t do any good to complain about your conversion rates when you’re not doing anything to change them.
And, I’m inviting YOU — again — to this Friday’s webinar where we’re going to pluck four or five websites from the long list of sites being submitted right now, and figure out how to make them SELL MORE STUFF.
Here’s where you can sign up:
The call is free, and there’s nothing for sale on the call. I’m not pitching anything. My goal is the same as your goal — to teach you a few simple principles about landing page optimization so that you can sell more stuff, too.
Do you want to sell more stuff?
Then accept the invitation now for Friday’s webinar, and submit your site to be reviewed during the call (if you dare). If your site is chosen, you’ll learn some specific tactics or strategies you can use to get more people to buy your stuff.
If your site is not selected, well you’ll still get all the same tactics as you watch me talk about the sites I do select. I’ll be picking each site with a specific lesson in mind. I promise you, either way, the call will be valuable for you.
Sign up now, and I’ll see you on Friday at lunch time. Details are on the next page.

To Your Success,
P.S. Okay, so in re-reading what I just wrote, I can see that I was a little bit harsh to the people who answered the survey questions. And I toyed with the idea of deleting the entire email and starting over.
But then I thought better of it.
I’m not apologizing.
In fact, there’s no way to get the point except with a big dose of brutal honesty. Look, you may be in the same boat as those people. You may not know your conversion rate, and you may not have even ever heard of split testing, or thought much about why people buy or don’t buy from you.
Well, there’s one thing you can count on from me: brutal honesty. I’ll use it when I review your site, and I’ll use it when I’m showing you how to sell more stuff.
If you’d like a dose of “here’s how it’s done, dammit” then sign up for the webinar this Friday. I’ll see you on the call.
Oh, and answer the survey questions honestly. Even if you’re afraid of my writing about you in a future email, I can’t help you if I don’t know for sure what you need help with.
